CDC Statistics

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) affects millions of people in the United States each year.

More than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experience sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

Nearly 16 million women  report experiencing IPV before the age of 18.

Beyond physical harm, 84% of victims experience psychological abuse, half experience physical abuse, and one-third experience sexual coercion.

IPV can have lasting impacts, including injury, safety concerns, missed work or school, and the need for medical or legal support.

Survivors are 3x more likely to meet criteria for PTSD
